Mary-like modesty

It is obvious we are in times where clothing has strayed far from its original purpose, leaving us with fashions currently that are immodest and out right scandalous.
For those who seek a more modest attire, the options are limited. We were inspired to provide a solution to the ever prevalent problem of immodest dress by creating our own modest dresses for women and children.
We would like to make a disclaimer that our dresses are designed based off our interpretation of modesty, creating a modesty standard that will reflect in our brand, Immaculate Heart Apparel. Our inspiration came from “The Mary-like Standards for Modesty in Dress,” from Pope Pius XI. While Mary-like modesty standard is not magisterially binding, we believe those striving to dress more modestly would be like minded in thinking these are a good standard of dress to follow. Our dresses are intentionally designed with Mary-like modesty in mind, after all, Our Blessed Mother, is the perfect example of modesty and purity, inside and out. When we see Our Lady, she is always concealed and never revealed. She would not have been in favor of anything more revealing, but rather quite the opposite.
Pictured below highlights key features that all our dresses will uphold. Including:
- Longer sleeves ranging from mid forearm to full sleeve.
- Longer length of skirt ranging from low calf to ankle length.
- Full lining inside the dress to ensure no sheerness.
- Higher neck to avoid revealing too much of the chest.
- Looser fitting style to avoid any tightness or anything that would be form fitting.
